Before

An ordinary, happy life

Our life in Ukraine was an ordinary, happy one — work, school, birthdays around a big table, and a garden we planted with our own hands. We never imagined leaving.

Now

Safe, grateful — and far from home

When the war reached us, we packed one suitcase each and left with our children. Europe gave us safety and a kindness we will never forget: temporary protection, a roof over our heads, school places for the kids. We work, we study the language, and we are grateful — every single day.

One day

A home to return to

But temporary protection is exactly that — temporary. When the war ends, we will go home. We dream of returning to a house that is truly ours: a room for each child, a garden again, roots that no one can take away.
